The 2019 Junior America’s Cup kicks off July 22-25 with team Arizona set to compete at Blackhawk Golf Club in Edmonton, Alberta among an elite international field of 18 teams representing Alberta, British Columbia, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Mexico I, Mexico II, Montana, Nevada, Northern California, Oregon, San Diego, Southern California, Sun Country, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

Scottsdale’s Jackson Van Slyck topped the field of 16 players in the Boys Championship division at the Arizona Junior Match Play Championship held at Desert Forest Golf Club July 16-17, while #1 Seeded Ashley Menne prevailed in the Girls Championship division.

The 2019 IMG Academy Junior World Championship was held July 9-12 on Torrey Pines South Course in San Diego. Ben Lorenz of Peoria improved on his T10 finish last year with a T3 finish this year in the Boy’s 15-18 division at 9-under par (69-71-71-68—279), two strokes off the pace.

The Phoenix City Junior Championship teed off July 2-3 at Aguila Golf Course with Cade Anderson of Scottsdale carding two eagles in the final round for a tournament-low 66 to finish at 7-under-par 137 in the Boys Championship division.

The Mesa City Jr / IMG Jr World Qualifier Presented by IHOP held at Dobson Ranch and Viewpoint Golf Resort ended with two players tied for first place in the Boys Championship division.

For the third-consecutive year, Ashley Menne of Surprise finished in first place at the U.S. Girls’ Junior qualifier at Alta Mesa Golf Club, this time with a 4-under-par 68.

Ben Lorenz of Peoria and Madeleine Laux of Goodyear took home top honors at the Willie Low Invitational Presented by MJ Insurance, a PING Junior Masters Series tournament on the JGAA schedule contested June 24-25 at Phoenix Country Club.
