Scott McNevin
Scott has been a resident of Phoenix since the fall of 2006. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Scott migrated north to University of Oregon, where he graduated in 2002 with a degree in Journalism.
Scott has been playing golf for over twenty years, and working in the business since graduating from college. In 2003 he interned with the American Junior Golf Association, and started working full time as a Tournament Director for the AJGA in 2004. Scott was a tournament director for 15 national junior golf events across the country while working for the AJGA.
In the fall of 2006, Scott joined the Arizona Golf Association staff as Tournament Director. For the last three years with the AGA he was the Director of Rules and Competitions. His duties included teaching Rules of Golf Seminars for AGA member clubs, conducting AGA Championships and USGA Qualifiers and tournament scheduling.
Cori Matheson
Cori Matheson is an LPGA Professional and the Director of the LPGA*USGA Girls Golf of Phoenix {since 2013}. The Girls Golf of Phoenix is an independently operated 501(c)(3) program of Junior Golf Association of Arizona (JGAA) and supported by the LPGA Foundation. Through Girls Golf, Cori strives to provide Phoenix Area girls with an empowering passion for golf, an environment to energize & engage the girls as well as grow the game of golf.
Cori has 25+ years of Junior Golf Experience as a competitive player & strong leader in the Phoenix area Junior Golf Scene (JGAA & Girls Golf ALUMNI). In addition to her role with Girls Golf, she has held multiple tournament & management positions with The Southwest Section PGA, The Junior Golf Association of Arizona & The First Tee of Phoenix.
Cori is a Girls Golf of Phoenix Alumni who attended Flagler College in St. Au gustine, Florida on a golf scholarship and graduated with a degree in Sport Management & Business.
Mckenzie O'Brien
Mckenzie moved to Phoenix at the end of 2023 to continue her career in the golf industry. Originally from Iowa, Mckenzie graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 2021 with a degree in Business Management and then continued her education at Clarke University where she completed her Master of Business Administration.
Mckenzie grew up playing junior golf in Iowa and was on the women’s golf team at Eastern Illinois University. While pursuing her master’s degree, she was the Graduate Assistant Golf Coach for the men’s and women’s golf teams. Upon graduating with her MBA, she moved out to Los Angeles to work for the USGA at the 2023 U.S. Open held at the Los Angeles Country Club where she helped oversee 3,500 volunteers.
Frank Krivas
Frank moved to the Phoenix area in 2001 after a long career in sales and marketing in the coatings and floorcovering textile industry. He has his wonderful wife Donna and two wonderful sons Ryan and Michael. He received his BA in Sales and Marketing from Glassboro State College. He has lived in the Mid-West, East Coast, South, South West and West Coast. In business, covering the entire United States, Western Canada, Alaska and Hawaii as a sales rep, regional manager, national accounts manager, selling skills trainer, national sales manager and vice president-sales and marketing.
When moving to Arizona he discovered his passion for giving back to the youth of tomorrow, especially in the golf community. Starting with the city of Chandler in their Parks and Recreation department then volunteering for The First Tee of Phoenix, then volunteer of the year 2012 becoming a staff member and a level-two coach. In 2016 he became a staff member for the JGAA and focused on junior tournament golf. Expanding his passion of seeing juniors excel with their golf skills and to realize their dreams.
Frank has played golf for over 40 years. He has been a golf instructor, club fitter, mini-tour caddie, life skills coach, course starter and course marshal. Interests outside of golf are his family, hiking, camping, the ocean and outdoor adventures. He volunteers for the Waste Management Open and is a Volunteer Chairman for the Charles Schwab Cup. He continues to stay current on the Rules of Golf attending the yearly four-day USGA Rules Workshop.
Frank Calvin, PGA
Frank has been involved with junior golf operations in Arizona since 2008. Previously serving as the Junior Golf Director for the Southwest Section PGA, Frank ran the Antigua Junior Tour as well as many college prep series events throughout Arizona and Southern Nevada. While with the Section, Frank's role moved to business development and partnerships where he was the Marketing Director until 2017. Frank's position with the Junior Golf Association of Arizona is a perfect blend of his previous experiences as he understands the junior golf landscape and how our vision and values align with our partners, sponsors, and private donors.
Frank is a graduate of Arizona State University and is also a PGA Professional. He enjoys spending time with his wife Louisa and their children, Bryce and Brynlee.
