The PING Junior Masters Series consists of five tournaments with a limited field for elite junior golfers. Players must be in the championship division to be eligible to register. Acceptance is based on Junior Golf Scoreboard Rankings.
What is the Championship Division?
The Championship Division is for elite junior golfers ages 13-18. Players must be pre-approved for this division and meet certain scoring criteria. This division gives you access to our PING Junior Masters Series, Arizona Junior Amateur exemptions, ability to play in the Quintero Cactus Cup and the Arizona Junior Matchplay Championship, as well as the chance to play for the Arizona Travel Team (full-time AZ residents only).
What is the registration process?
Acceptance to the event is not first come, first serve. The first week after registration opens is a priority acceptance window for Arizona residents. All players will be able to register when it opens but we will only accept Arizona residents who meet the ranking criteria. Those who do not meet the priority window criteria will be put on the waitlist for the first week. After one week, the field will then be filled by the players on the waitlist with the lowest rankings. See the important registration dates at the bottom of the page.
What is Junior Golf Scoreboard?
The Junior Golf Scoreboard ranking system is based on a formula that reviews a player’s record in 36-hole or longer tournaments over the last 365 days. Tournaments drop out of the calculation after one year. A player must have four events within the year to be ranked.

Dec 17 | Rest of field is filled with non Arizona residents and Arizona residents who did not meet priority window criteria. Acceptance is based on lowest JGS ranking. Rankings are updated before players are added.
Dec 18 – Jan 11 | Registration stays open but field will be full and all entries will be put on waitlist. If there are any withdraws, we will fill in the spot with the lowest ranked player on the waitlist. Rankings are updated before players are added.
