JGAA alum Riley Lewis continues to impress, winning individual honors at the 2022 West Coast Conference Men’s Golf Championship held late-April at the Reflection Bay Golf Club in Henderson, Nevada.

JGAA alum and current general manager of Grand Canyon University Golf Course, “Jesse” Mueller cruised to a five-stroke victory in the 54th PGA Professional Championship at the Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin, Texas.

Rio Newcombe – Gilbert resident competing as a freshman for the University of Colorado Colorado Springs Mountain Lions – fired 10-under 69, 69, 68 near home at Chandler’s Whirlwind Golf Club, earning individual honors at the 2022 RMAC Men’s Golf Championship held April 17-19.

The JGAA’s Preston Summerhays fired 75-73 at the WM Phoenix Open last week. Although it definitely wasn’t the outcome he – or we – was looking for, congratulation to Preston, the entire Summerhays family and The Thunderbirds for the vivid preview of great things to come.

Preston Summerhays’ already impressive resume just got longer. The JGAA alum (2012-2021) received the first of five available sponsor exemptions to play in the 2022 WM Phoenix Open presented by Taylor Morrison,

JGAA alum Preston Summerhays erased two early bogies with six birdies on the final 12 holes to take the co-medalist title at the coveted East Lake Cup (Oct. 25-27) alongside Chris Gotterup of Oklahoma.

In a dominating performance, Reece Nilson shot 71-69-67 at Ohio’s Maketewah Country Club to top the field individually at the Xavier Invitational, contested October 18-19.

Two JGAA alums and freshmen on the UNLV Women’s Golf team are already runnin’ hot for the Rebels. Sydney Bryan led the way as co-medalist in only her second collegiate start, clinching a piece of the championship after a final round 3-under 69.

Born and raised in the Old Pueblo, Trevor Werbylo entered the JGAA Boys 11-10 age division in 2010. Eleven years later: he earned his first professional win on the Forme Tour at The Fuzzy Zoeller Classic at Covered Bridge Golf Club.
