The 2023 Itty Bitty Open teed off January 14 at 21 Valley parks. Now in its 35th year, parents who attended the event decades ago are now beginning to introduce their kids to the game of golf at the same event.

The 2022 Patriot All-American teed off in the West Valley December 27-31 at Wigwam Golf Club in Goodyear, with a handful of JGAA alums toping the leaderboard.

New wingman to the Patriot All-American, the inaugural Thunderbolt took off in the West Valley December 27-31 Sterling Grove Golf & Country Club, with JGAA Alums Chaz Aurilia and Joseph Lloyd competing for top honors.

In its 52nd year, the Joanne Winter Arizona Silver Belle Championship teed off at Sun City’s Briarwood Country Club, December 28-30, with a 90-player field of amateur women competing in a 54-hole, stroke play tournament.

The 2022 Holiday Challenge by Mass Mutual – Arizona teed off December 21 featuring 76 boys and 36 girls competing in an 18-hole, two-person team scramble.

The 2022 Winter Classic teed off December 10-11 with junior golfers ages 8-18 from across the Valley competing in five age groups at Sun City West and Sun City Country Club.

The JGAA announced the 2022 Player of the Year Awards and Sportsmanship Awards across five age divisions at the awards banquet presented by Troon at Papago Golf Course, November 29.

Rolex Junior All-America Teams recognize the world’s premier junior golfers, including four Arizona juniors – Mahanth Chirravuri, Adam Miller, Johnnie Clark and Jennifer Seo. They join the class of 2022 alongside 48 boys and 48 girls, ages 14-19, from 24 states and 10 countries who distinguished themselves through the Rolex AJGA Rankings. They’re now set to compete in the Rolex Tournament of Champions, November 19-23 at TPC San Antonio – Canyons Course in San Antonio, Texas.
