The Junior Golf Association of Arizona (JGAA) is thrilled to celebrate the recent win of one of our distinguished alumni, Ethan Klose, who secured the individual championship at the Border Olympics on February 18, 2025. Representing New Mexico State University (NMSU), Klose’s outstanding performance not only earned him the top individual honor but also propelled the Aggies to a commendable second-place team finish. The senior out of Phoenix carded just six bogeys across the three rounds to finish the week as one of just seven players in the field with fewer than seven bogeys.
Klose, who honed his skills through the JGAA’s programs here in Arizona, marks his second top-10 finish in his last two starts after he finished tied for eighth at the Aggies’ home tournament: the Herb Wimberly Memorial. His journey from participating in junior golf events across the state to excelling on the collegiate stage exemplifies the dedication and hard work fostered within our association.
“The JGAA takes immense pride in the accomplishments of our alumni and remains committed to nurturing young golfers who aspire to reach such heights,” said JGAA Executive Director Scott McNevin. “Ethan’s success serves as an inspiration to current and future members, demonstrating the potential that can be achieved through perseverance and the support of a strong golfing community.”
