Tyler Spielman of Cave Creek qualified to play in the U.S. Junior Amateur with a first-place, 5-under-par 66, three strokes ahead of Owen Bolles of Chandler, (2-under-par 69) at Tatum Ranch Golf Club on June 12. After ending up in third place at even par 71, Arjun Somani of Scottsdale made the cut and advances to Charleston. For the final spot, it went down to the very end in dramatic fashion. Johnnie Clark of Mesa finished his round one-over 72 and forced himself into a playoff to squeak into the USGA championship. Clark managed to receive the 4th spot on the 2ND playoff hole with a birdie. Parker Bond of Phoenix qualified for the USGA Junior Amateur yesterday at The Meadows Course at Grand Valley State in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Brennan Korn of Scottsdale won the Boys Championship division at the 2023 Tucson City Junior Championship, held May 31-June 1 at Randolph North Golf Course.
Conducted by the Junior Golf Association of Arizona, the Bruce Brown Yuma City Junior Championship teed off at Desert Hills Golf Course, May 20-21, featuring 62 junior golfers.

On April 29th & 30th, the 22nd Annual Quintero Cactus Cup was held at Quintero Golf Club, one of the top public courses in Arizona. The Founders team defended their title for the 3rd year in a row, defeating the Charter team 13-7.
The first local qualifying tournament to enter the coveted IMG Academy Junior World Championship was recently contested April 22-23 in the Betsy King IMG Academy Junior World Qualifier, yielding 19 players to become championship bound. The Junior World Championships are held July 8-13 in San Diego.
The 29th Tucson Conquistadores Spring Classic teed off April 15-16 under at Silverbell and El Rio Golf Courses, where local resident Finn Meister took advantage of playing at home by winning the Boys Championship division by two strokes.
