Team Arizona – featuring Dylan Boenning, Dallin Delgado, Nicolas Lyman and Hogan O’Malley– came in third place at the 2023 Hogan Cup held at Riverside Golf & Country Club in Portland, Oregon, August 11-13. San Diego and Southern California both tied for first place at 15-over par as a team.
In the four-person-team format, the three lowest individual scores each day determine the team total score. In the first round, team Arizona made the turn at +1, before finishing at +8. The final round consisted of a 14-over par performance as a team, with rounds of 75-76-76 to end up at 22-over par for the event. Washington finished runner up at 16-over par as a team, one shot back of the leaders.
Individually, Delgado of Mesa led the way for Team Arizona at T-6. The future Denver Pioneer golfer carded a seven-over-par 149 (73-76). He put up a bogey-free front nine during the first round of action at one-under par and concluded at two-over 73 on Saturday. Hogan O’Malley of Tempe was right behind him at T-10. O’Malley ended up at eight-over par for the individual portion of the Hogan Cup (72-78). Nicholas Nyman of Litchfield Park came inside the top 15 at 10-over par (76-76). Dylan Boenning was T-33 at 14-over par for the event (81-75).
