All players must have an active membership with the JGAA to play in tournaments. Membership is based on the calendar year (January-December). There are two different membership options; In-State (must be full-time Arizona resident, vacation/second homes do not apply) or Out-Of-State.
The JGAA utilizes 5 different age divisions for both boys and girls in their events. You must play in the age division that you will be on the last day of the tournament.
The JGAA has both Open Events and Championship Events. Open events are open to all age divisions and registration is first come, first serve until the field is full. We recommend signing up for tournaments right when they open to ensure your spot as they fill quickly.
The JGAA has both Open Events and Championship Events. Championship events are elite events that require either a certain JGS ranking, player of the year points, or earning an exemption to be able to play. They are not first come, first serve like our open events.
JGAA tournaments are nationally ranked and provide an opportunity for players to receive rankings from Junior Golf Scoreboard (JGS), AJGA, TUGR, and WAGR. Each tournament will vary in what rankings/recognitions are received.
