What are the State Travel Teams?
The JGAA travel teams are comprised of the top boys and girls Championship Division players in the state of Arizona. There are two events for the boys (Junior Americas Cup and Hogan cup) and one girls event (Girls Junior Americas Cup). The teams are determined by the results of the first four PING Junior Masters Series Invitationals. There is no cost to the player to participate, all travel and accommodations are provided by the JGAA.
Eligibility Criteria:
-In Championship Division
-Full-time AZ resident
-Age 13-18 (boys) and 14-18 (girls)
Point Breakdown:
The top-10 boys and girls from each qualifying event will earn points towards the team standings. This points list is separate than the POTY points.
Tie-Breakers:
If there are any ties, the tie breaker will be adding up the final places, that both (or all) players, placed in the PING Junior Masters events. The total will only include the same events that both (or all) players have played in. The lowest number of the total of the places will be the winner in the tie.
