Summerhays notches first JGAA win; Bae defends her title
The JGAA Fall Classic Presented by Great Clips teed off November 4-5 with Preston Summerhays of Scottsdale posting two rounds in the 60s to take top honors in the Boys Championship Division with a 6-under-par 136 (67-69) at Lone Tree Golf Club. He topped second-place finisher Tanner Pixley (67-71—138, -4) of Scottsdale and Ethan Dezzani (72-68—140, -2) of Honolulu, Hawaii, who finished in third place.
In the Girls Championship Division, Chandler’s Jenny Bae (69-72—141, -1) edged out Toni St John (72-70—142, E) of Gilbert by one stroke to win in the Girls Championship Division for the second consecutive year at Lone Tree. Brooke Veres of Goodyear (77-68—145, +3) tied for third place with Millburn Ho (73-72—145, +3) of Scottsdale.
Joseph Lloyd of Scottsdale won the Boys 15-18 Division at 2-under par (70-70—140). Anawin Pikulthong of Gilbert won the Boys 13-14 Division at 5-under par (70-69—139) at Western Skies Golf Club. At Augusta Ranch Golf Course, Ryan Sefrioui of Scottsdale took top honors in the Boys 11-12 Division at 11-over par (68-65—133), and Oliver Uribe from Scottsdale won the Boys 10 and Under Division at 7-over par (34-33—67).
In the Girls 15-18 Division, Lorel Hayward of Mesa won at 5-over par (72-75—147). Mattison Frick of Peoria won the Girls 13-14 Division at 5-over par (77-72—149), and Paige Hammarstrom of Scottsdale won the Girls 11-12 Division at 12-over par (66-68—134).
