Championship set for July 18-23, The Club at Olde Stone, Bowling Green, Kentucky

Mesa Country Club recently served (June 20) as the local qualifier for the 2022 U.S. Girls’ Junior, with Jennifer Seo of Chandler, ChunWei Wu of Taiwan and Sammie Olson of Phoenix advancing to the championship, set for July 18-23 at The Club at Olde Stone, Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Seo, 2021 JGAA Player of the Year, sat 2-under par after six holes before making the turn one under. She then picked up two more birdies on the way in to finish at 3-under 69 for the round, two clear of Wu in second place at -1. Olson filled the final qualifying spot after a wild round. At 3-under through 13 holes, she gave four back before rallying at the final hole with a birdie to force a three-way playoff at even par. Olson prevailed on the par-3, second hole with a par over alternates Catherine Rao of Camarillo, California and Kate Hauptman of Phoenix.
The championship will air on NBC GOLF, July 22, 3-5 PM (MST).
