JGAA Members Qualify for 2022 U.S. Junior Amateur

The Country Club at DC Ranch hosted a local qualifier Monday, June 20 for the 2022 U.S. Junior Amateur, set for July 25-30 at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort. Tied for first place at -5, 66, USC-bound Mahanth Chirravuri of Chandler, Johnnie Clark of Mesa, and Vincent Cervantes of Chandler earned their way into the field. One stroke back in solo-fourth place, Hunter Thompson of Calgary, Alberta, Canada earned the final spot, while Ramil Saelim of Daytona Beach, Florida and Oscar Uribe of Scottsdale are alternates.  

On June 1, Paradise Valley’s Charlie Palmer also qualified for the 2022 U.S. Junior Amateur. He survived a three-for-two playoff at Circling Raven Golf Club in Worley, Idaho to tie for first place alongside Bellevue, Washington’s Max Herendeen.
