JGAA member Aubrey Hilgers has been named to the 2026 United States PING Junior Solheim Cup Team, U.S. Team Captain Morgan Pressel announced this week. Hilgers was one of four Captain’s picks selected to complete the 12-player roster that will represent the United States against Team Europe this September.
The Surprise, Arizona, native and Class of 2028 recruit enters the competition ranked No. 22 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings, fresh off a victory at the 2026 Girls Junior PGA Championship and a T5 finish at the 77th U.S. Girls’ Junior. Hilgers owns three career AJGA victories, including consecutive wins at the 2024 Discover Austin Minnesota Junior Championship presented by Hormel Foods and the AJGA Dana Incorporated Junior Open.
“Aubrey has represented the JGAA and the state of Arizona with tremendous pride throughout her junior career, and this is a major milestone in that journey,” said Scott McNevin, Executive Director of the JGAA. “Being selected as a Captain’s pick for the U.S. PING Junior Solheim Cup is one of the highest honors available to a junior golfer, and it reflects Aubrey’s talent and work ethic on the course. We’re proud to see her represent Arizona and the United States on this stage.”
Modeled after the Solheim Cup, the PING Junior Solheim Cup is a biennial team match play event featuring the 12 best female junior golfers from the United States competing against Team Europe. In a historic first, the 2026 event will be contested on the same course as the Solheim Cup itself, with both competitions taking place at Bernardus Golf in Cromvoirt, Netherlands. The junior event runs September 7-8, immediately preceding the Solheim Cup, which runs September 9-13.
The U.S. Team will look to defend its title after a commanding 18.5-5.5 victory over Team Europe at Army Navy Country Club in Virginia in 2024. The Americans currently lead the all-time series, 8-4-1, and will aim to capture back-to-back titles in the Netherlands.
Hilgers joins fellow Captain’s picks Madeleine Conser of Portland, Oregon, Amber Lee of San Diego, California, and Iris Lee of Orlando, Florida, completing a 12-player roster that also includes eight players who qualified for the team.
