Aubrey Hilgers’ first PING Junior Solheim Cup appearance ended with a trophy, and an undefeated record.
The JGAA member and Surprise, Arizona, native played a key role in Team USA’s successful title defense at the 2026 PING Junior Solheim Cup, helping the Americans defeat Team Europe 13-11 at Bernardus Golf in Cromvoirt, Netherlands.
Selected as one of four Captain’s Picks by U.S. Team Captain Morgan Pressel, Hilgers made an immediate impact in her debut.
Paired with fellow Captain’s Pick Madeleine Conser, Hilgers opened the competition by helping Team USA secure a 4&3 victory over Team Europe’s Carlota López Minguela and Marta Muñoz in the morning foursomes session. The duo returned to the course in the afternoon and delivered again, defeating Sofia Maier-Borst and Lena Geier 5&3 in fourballs.
With two victories on Day 1, Hilgers helped Team USA build a commanding 9½-2½ lead heading into Tuesday’s singles competition.
Team Europe mounted a furious comeback in the final day of singles, winning 8½ of the 12 available points. But Hilgers once again delivered for the Americans, defeating Lena Geier 2&1 to earn another point and finish the competition with a perfect 3-0 record.
The victory marked Team USA’s second consecutive PING Junior Solheim Cup title and its ninth overall, extending its lead in the all-time series.
For Hilgers, the championship caps a remarkable summer. The Class of 2028 recruit entered the competition ranked No. 22 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings and was coming off a victory at the 2026 Girls Junior PGA Championship and a T5 finish at the 77th U.S. Girls’ Junior.
Now, she can add PING Junior Solheim Cup Champion to an already impressive résumé.
“Aubrey has represented the JGAA and the state of Arizona with tremendous pride throughout her junior career, and this is a major milestone in that journey,” said JGAA Executive Director Scott McNevin. “We’re incredibly proud of the way she represented Arizona and the United States on this stage. Going 3-0 in her first Junior Solheim Cup and helping Team USA bring home the trophy is an incredible accomplishment.”
The 2026 PING Junior Solheim Cup marked the first time the event was held at the same venue as the Solheim Cup, giving the next generation of women’s golf stars the opportunity to compete at Bernardus Golf just days before the world’s best professional players take the course.
