Camelback Golf Club hosted a JGAA Junior Masters Series event August 22-23 on its recently renovated Ambiente course. On the Boys side, Alejandro De Zavala of Phoenix pulled away from the field with a final-round 66 – lowest of the tournament – to finish in first place at five-under par (73-66—139), three strokes ahead of Anthem’s Nicholas San Miguel (71-71—142). This is De Zavala’s first win in seven starts this season with a T5 and two T7s as his best finishes prior to his victory.

Girls: Jenny Bae, Emma Reyes, Ashley Menne
On the Girls side, Chandler’s Jenny Bae continues her impressive play by notching her fourth victory. She fired 73-71—144 (even par) to finish six strokes clear of Mesa’s Emma Reyes (78-72—150). Her final-round 71, was the only round under par for the girls. Bae made the top 10 every time she teed it up this season – including eight top 5s in 11 starts on the JGAA schedule.
