The final event on the 2025 calendar, Holiday Challenge by Mass Mutual – Arizona, took place Monday, December 22 featuring 72 boys and 40 girls competing in an 18-hole, two-person team scramble format on Grayhawk Golf Club’s Raptor Course, home of the 2021-2023 NCAA Men’s and Women’s Golf Championships.
The Boys Championship division witnessed a closely contested battle at the top of the leaderboard, with 3 teams within three strokes of the medalists, Jake Goyen and Hudson Banks of Mesa. The duo carded an outstanding 9-under-par 61, highlighted by six-straight birdies on the back nine to seal the victory. The dynamic duo broke away with a sub-30 back nine score to outpace the competition by two strokes. Teams Joseph Nelson (Gilbert)-Hudson Roberts (Chandler) and Owen Greenough (Chandler)-Ash Edwards (Colorado) both tied for second place at 7-under par.
The Lamadrid sisters, Alexis and Natalia, claimed a two-stroke victory after rattling off four-straight birdies to pull off the comeback win on the final stretch. Trailing by a stroke heading into the back nine, the pair surged ahead with a phenomenal 10-under 62. Concluding the event in second place at 8-under par was Team Beau Ellington (Paradise Valley)- Alyssa Rigby (Washington).
