JGAA member Aubrey Hilgers of Surprise, Arizona played lights out overseas with a statement performance on an international stage, capturing the Girls Division title at the AJGA Bermuda Junior with a winning total of 8-over-par 221, marking the third AJGA victory of her already impressive junior career.
Hilgers didn’t just win, she separated herself from the pack. She earned low final-round honors with a clutch 70, making her the only girl in the field to post a round under par for the entire tournament. Talk about pressure-proof. She stacked seven birdies across the week, including three on the front nine in the final round, dominating from the first tee box and never losing momentum.
The win also signified a personal milestone, as it noted her first time competing in Bermuda, proving she can travel, adapt, and bring her A game, not just show up.
“This win means a lot to me because I get to see all my hard work pay off. I loved playing this course and getting to experience Bermuda for the first time,” said Hilgers.
Big-stage energy. Big-time showing. Bright future ahead. This wasn’t just a win – it was a flex. JGAA continues to manufacture straight-up problem solvers and resilient competitors when the spotlight is beaming, and Aubrey Hilgers just added another chapter to her takeover tour.
