Esteemed JGAA alumna Ashley Menne competed in her third-consecutive Augusta National Women’s Amateur. Hailing from our junior ranks, she’s made a noteworthy mark on the golfing world since her early days. Menne is currently one of the top ranked collegiate golfers in NCAA Women’s Golf. Menne posted an impressive 69 to open the tournament but fell below the cut line after tough playing conditions on Day 2.

Back in 2014, she showcased her talent on the grand stage of Augusta National, impressively clinching a T-3 finish in the Girls 12-13 age division during the inaugural Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals.

Fast forward to her collegiate journey, where she’s been a standout performer for Arizona State. This season alone, she’s notched up four top-10 finishes, including a remarkable victory at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in Hawaii this March.
Her accolades speak volumes about her success on the course. The standout golfer out of Surprise has been on a tear as of late. In fact, she was recently awarded the 2024 Heather Farr Award at the Wings of Gold Ceremony. In 2023, she secured her status as a three-time All-American and added another notch to her belt by clinching the Arizona Women’s Amateur title for the third time. Additionally, she made waves at the North and South Women’s Amateur, reaching the Round of 16, and proudly represented the United States in the esteemed Arnold Palmer Cup.

But her journey to success didn’t start in college. Prior to her illustrious collegiate career, she was a force to be reckoned with, earning four-time junior All-American honors from 2016 to 2020. In 2019, she etched her name in history by triumphing in the Pro-Junior competition at a PGA Tour Champions event at Pebble Beach, alongside golfing legend Tom Lehman.

“We couldn’t be prouder of her achievements and to see her shine once again at Augusta National,” said JGAA Executive Director Scott McNevin. “She’s a true testament to the talent and dedication fostered within our junior golfing community. Go Sun Devils!”
