
JGAA alumna Lena Durette continued her impressive trajectory in college golf by capturing her first individual collegiate title at the ASU Spring Classic. Representing Howard University, the sophomore led the way for the Bison with a three‑round total of 219 (+3), carding rounds of 75–71–73 to clinch the win against a competitive field.
Durette’s strong play throughout the tournament – especially her steady second round – propelled her to the top of the leaderboard and marked a major milestone in her collegiate career.
The victory underscores the talent and competitive foundation Durette built as a standout junior golfer in Arizona. Her success at the ASU Spring Classic is a testament to her prior development and consistency on the course.
The Bison also captured the team title at the event, with Durette’s performance contributing significantly to the group’s success.
