Colorado Christian University has called upon its own alum, Cameron Sandland, to be its new Head Coach of Men’s Golf, becoming one of the youngest coaches in Division II golf at just 25 years old.
Sandland, a key member of the Cougars’ 2023–24 National Championship team, holds the program record for the lowest 18-hole round after shooting a jaw-dropping 61 at Waikoloa Kings Course in October 2021.
Since graduating in 2024, he has served as a graduate assistant and helped coach the team while pursuing leadership studies.
“I’m both blessed and honored to lead a program that has brought so much success,” Sandland said. “This program changed my life… Coach Hull showed me what servant leadership looks like while pushing for excellence—now that’s what I plan to bring as head coach.”
He’s dedicated to sustaining the winning tradition and building on the faith-centered culture he helped cultivate as a player.
Former coach Mark Hull couldn’t be more thrilled. “Cam knows the ins and outs of this program and embodies the mindset that elevated us,” said Hull. “Having a former player take the reins ensures continuity and deep understanding.”
Under Sandland’s leadership, the program is shooting for postseason competitiveness while nurturing a team built on faith, character, and performance.
Golf claps are in order for Cam Sandland and this exciting new venture in his golf career!
