The Universal Golf Rankings (TUGR) – The Coaches Rankings – is reshaping how junior golfers are evaluated. Recently acquired by College Golf Experience (CGX), TUGR is built and managed by college coaches and delivers the most accurate, unbiased, inclusive, and understandable ranking system in golf.
Unlike other systems, TUGR uses a strokes-gained, head-to-head model that measures performance relative to players competing on the same course, in the same conditions, on the same day. This eliminates arbitrary assumptions and creates a fair, data-driven picture of every player’s performance.
Because TUGR is run by college coaches, every ranking reflects what coaches value most: consistent performance, improvement, and competition.
