The Thunderbirds have long been among the JGAA’s most dedicated partners, and their commitment to Arizona’s youth mirrors their commitment to communities across the state.
As hosts of the WM Phoenix Open, The Thunderbirds generated a record-breaking $20.1 million for local charities in 2026, bringing the tournament’s all-time charitable giving total to an astonishing $246 million. For more than nine decades, their mission has centered on creating meaningful impact throughout Arizona, and junior golf remains an important part of that lasting legacy.
Through their support of the JGAA, The Thunderbirds help provide opportunities that extend far beyond competition. As title sponsors of the Thunderbird Invitational, Thunderbird High School Senior Classic, and Thunderbird Junior Classic, they play a vital role in delivering premier tournament experiences for Arizona’s young golfers.
Their impact also reaches into JGAA Foundation initiatives, including College Golf Night, Youth on Course, the Itty Bitty Open, and other programs designed to make the game more accessible, affordable, and welcoming for junior golfers across the state.
The Thunderbirds’ investment in junior golf continues to create opportunities for the next generation of players, leaders, and lifelong ambassadors of the game. We are incredibly grateful for their partnership and unwavering support of Arizona’s junior golf community.
