Former JGAA star Mahanth Chirravuri — a Chandler, Arizona native who won over 20 JGAA events, reached No. 1 in the state junior rankings and later won Arizona Amateur Championship back in 2023 — is now making serious waves at the collegiate and professional level. Now a senior at Pepperdine University, Chirravuri has been one of the most decorated players, earning WCC co-Golfer of the Year honors in 2025 and posting a scoring average of 70.38 — one of the best single-season marks in program history.
Just last month, the Chandler native finished T22 in his inaugural Korn Ferry Tour appearance at the Club Car Championship down in Savannah, Georgia. Not too shabby for a first timer.
In the 2025-26 PGA TOUR University Rankings (Week 8), Chirravuri sits at No. 5 nationally out of Pepperdine, carrying 1 win and 11 top-10 finishes across 19 events. The PGA TOUR University program gives elite college seniors a direct pathway to professional golf — with the ranking period for the Class of 2026 concluding after the NCAA D-I Men’s National Championship in June 2026, and top finishers earning automatic status on professional tours. Chirravuri has his sights firmly set on that ticket, and the JGAA community will be watching.
