JGAA Player Alexis Lamadrid Featured on CNN’s Living Golf Phoenix

We are thrilled to highlight a JGAA member, Alexis Lamadrid, on her recent feature in CNN’s Living Golf segment. Alexis was brought on to discuss the local impact of the Desert Mashie Golf Club. The clip takes place at Encanto Golf Course in Phoenix, Arizona which is also the first course to allow people of color to play the game of golf in Phoenix.

CNN’s monthly Living Golf show is hosted by Jasmine Sanders who can also be known as ‘The Jazzy Golfer’ among various social media channels. Jasmine is a golf advocate aiming to reach a younger audience that compliments the ongoing changes to the game of golf.

In this Episode, Jasmine takes a trip to Phoenix, Arizona where she meets up with Epson Tour player, Benedetta Moresco as she prepares for the Monday qualifier for the Ford Championship held at Seville Golf and Country Club. Next, Jasmine takes a trip down to Apache Junction to visit the iconic Snakehole Golf and Country Club which displays a unique take on desert golf.

Lastly, Jasmine makes a stop at Encanto Golf Course in Downtown, Phoenix where she meets up with Sean Colebrook, Junior Director of Desert Mashie Golf Club and Alexis Lamadrid to discuss how the Desert Mashie Golf Club is impacting many juniors lives by growing the game through various opportunities. Jasmine and Alexis later head back out to Seville Golf and Country Club for the Ford Championship Pro-am to catch up with a few players, including c.
