What is it?
The Mary Cave Cup was established in 2004 to offer junior girls a tournament similar to the Eddie Hogan Cup. The event is named in honor of Mary Cave who was a dedicated volunteer of the SDJGA for almost 50 years. The tournament is a 36 hole, four-ball event with trophies being awarded to the top 2 teams and the low individual finisher.
How do I play for Team Arizona?
The #5-8 ranked girls championship division players from the four qualifying events below will be invited to represent Arizona in the 2026 Mary Cave Cup. Players must be between the ages of 14-18 on August 5, 2026 and be a full-time Arizona resident. Players will be chaperoned by team Captains, Mckenzie O’Brien – Tournament Director at the JGAA, and Alicia Barron – Tournament Coordinator at the JGAA. There is no cost to the player to participate, all travel and accommodations are provided by the JGAA.

What are the benefits?
Participating in this event helps give players more exposure during their recruiting process. There are over 20 college coaches from all over the country that travel to the event to find new recruits or secure a commitment. It helps prepare juniors to be play in high level team events which will help them transition to the college level easier.
