The pathway from the JGAA level to collegiate success continues to gleam for JGAA alumna Chloe Tarkany, who captured medalist honors this week at the Houston Lake Invitational in Georgia.

Competing for the Belmont Bruins, Tarkany notched a performance to remember, firing a final-round 66 (-6) to secure the individual title with a 54-hole total of 214 (-2), beating the field by one stroke.

The victory marks the fourth individual title of her collegiate career and second of the season, proving her status as one of Belmont’s top golfers.

Tarkany’s final round was nothing short of dominant, highlighted by an eagle, six birdies, and just one bogey. An effort that tied multiple program records, including one of the lowest 18-hole scores and one of the best 54-hole finishes in Belmont history.

Her showing also helped lead Belmont to a runner-up finish in the team standings, as the Bruins posted a strong standing throughout the event.

A Scottsdale native and JGAA alumna, Tarkany’s continued success at the collegiate level reflects the strength of Arizona junior golf and the competitive foundation built through the JGAA.

With momentum building late in the season, Tarkany and the Bruins now turn their attention to their next competition, carrying with them the confidence of a statement victory and the continued rise of a proven champion.
