Girls Junior Americas Cup

 
What is it?

The tournament is a 54-hole competition with 18 teams competing from 12 different states and 3 countries. The event includes a practice round, 3 tournament rounds, opening and closing ceremonies, a tournament banquet and a social event. Being chosen to represent your state/country to play in the Girls Junior America’s Cup is one of the highest honors in girls’ junior golf.

How do I play for Team Arizona?

The top-4 girls championship division players from the four qualifying events below will be invited to represent Arizona in the 2026 Girls Junior Americas Cup. Players must be between the ages of 14-18 on July 23, 2026 and be a full-time Arizona resident. Players will be chaperoned by team Captains, Anj Brown – Head of Membership at AZ Golf, and Peggy Briggs – LPGA Teaching Professional. There is no cost to the player to participate, all travel and accommodations are provided by the JGAA.

Where is the 2026 Girls Junior Americas Cup?

The 2026 GJAC is July 20-23, 2026 at Illahe Hills Country Club in Salem, OR. Team Oregon and the Oregon Golf Association are the host committee. GJAC Website

What are the benefits?

Participating in this event helps give players more exposure during their recruiting process. With WAGR, AJGA, and JGS awarded for participation, it helps their junior golf rankings. There are over 20 college coaches from all over the country that travel to the event to find new recruits or secure a commitment. It helps prepare juniors to be play in high level team events which will help them transition to the college level easier.
