For the first time in over three decades, Team Arizona has hoisted the Junior America’s Cup trophy—and they did it with flair. At the 53rd annual event, hosted by the Oregon Golf Association at Columbia Edgewater Country Club, Arizona ran away with the team title, finishing a jaw-dropping 10 strokes clear of the field at 17-under-par (622 total) after a stellar final-round 199.

The charge was led by Landon Ashcraft, who turned in a masterclass on Thursday. Ashcraft put on a clinic with seven birdies and an eagle to card a ridiculous 9-under 62, snagging individual medalist honors and putting a stamp on Arizona’s historic win.

Dylan Boenning backed it up in style, staying steady under pressure with a 1-under 70 to claim solo second place individually at 5-under (71-67-70—208). Arizona’s depth shined too, with Owen Greenough firing a final-round 68 to finish T16 and Ajay Morris closing strong with a 69 to land T21.

Southern California earned runner-up honors at 7-under (632 total). Shawn Nawata pushed Boenning all week, finishing T3 at 4-under, while Hill Wang and Baron Nguyen tied for 12th at 2-over and Brandon Anderson rounded it out T16 at 3-over.

Host team Oregon held onto fourth place with a steady final-round 211 to close at 2-over-par 641. Connor Holden anchored the squad with three straight rounds of 71, good for T9 at even par, while Cade McVicker and Lucas Vanderlip both tied for 19th at 4-over, followed closely by Mason Ho at T21 (+5).

Now in its 53rd year, the Junior America’s Cup showcases top junior talent from across the Western U.S., Canada, and Mexico in a 54-hole, college-style team competition. Each four-player squad counts its three lowest scores per round toward a cumulative total.

This year marked the fourth time the Oregon Golf Association has hosted the prestigious event, last doing so in 2008 at Royal Oaks Country Club, where Southern California took the crown. That tournament included future PGA TOUR standout Patrick Cantlay.

With past champions including Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Fred Couples, Rickie Fowler, and Bryson DeChambeau, the Junior America’s Cup remains a launching pad for golf’s next generation. And after this week’s performance, Team Arizona has etched its name back into the spotlight in a big way.
