JGAA Junior Golfers Commit To Play Collegiate Golf

The Junior Golf Association of Arizona (JGAA) is pleased to report that 19 Arizona junior golfers and 22 total JGAA members signed National Letters of Intent to play collegiate golf.

“Every year, it’s a privilege to see our junior golfers take the next big step into college golf. One of our key missions is to help them prepare for this opportunity,” shared Scott McNevin, Executive Director of the JGAA. “We’re excited to see where their journey takes them and wish them great success in this next chapter.”

One JGAA member from Tucson signed with Ole Miss. Finn Meister, 18, will become a Rebel after a strong 2024 JGAA season. In five events played, he had five top 25s, two top 10s and even recorded his first-ever AJGA victory at the Jim Click Automotive / HSL Properties Championship in his backyard.

Two Arizonans are heading to the Plains of Pullman at Washington State University, Dylan Boenning of Brophy Prep and Kaitlyn Helm of St. John Paul II. Both had outstanding seasons to help them take that next step to the collegiate level. Boenning is on pace to win 2024 Player of the Year honors after securing four wins. His most noteworthy victory took place at the Willie Low Invitational at Phoenix Country Club, a PING Junior Masters Series event. Helm finished the year with five top 5s and a win at the State Junior Golf Championship, contested at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Course.

Horizon’s Brennan Korn of Scottsdale (17) signed with the University of Connecticut. The future Husky had an impressive 2023 campaign, collecting two wins, plus three top 10s in 11 events entered.

Ailis Tribolet of Chandler is prepared to tee it up for the University of Nebraska in 2025. The Cornhusker won her only JGAA event she competed in at the JGAA Fall Classic earlier this month.

Lauren Nau of Scottsdale is joining the University of Idaho. The future 2025 grad ended the 2024 JGAA season with one win at the New Year’s Classic and seven top 10s in 14 events entered.

Seventeen local junior golfers are taking their JGAA experience to the next level as they head off to play collegiate golf across the U.S., from Washington State University to Ole Miss. While these talented players exemplify the competitive spirit fostered by the JGAA, the organization’s focus extends far beyond preparing athletes for college golf.
