Former JGAA standout and Brophy Prep golfer Charlie Palmer recently completed his first year of college golf at Princeton University. In his inaugural year at Princeton, Charlie Palmer made a statement, earning the postseason title of Ivy League Rookie of the Year. Notably, Palmer secured two impressive top-12 finishes during the season.
His debut at the USF Howard Intercollegiate saw him clinch 10th place out of 80 contenders, boasting a score of -6 (74-66-70). Additionally, Palmer played a pivotal role in Princeton’s team win at the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate, achieving a 12th place finish highlighted by a stellar round of 67, his best performance of the season. Amidst the Ivy League championship, Palmer showcased his skills with an even-par 71 in the second round, contributing to Princeton’s runner-up position.
Furthermore, Palmer celebrated a memorable milestone with his first-ever hole-in-one at Princeton’s home invitational on Springdale Golf Club’s 13th hole. His remarkable achievements not only reflect his individual talent but also contribute to Princeton’s consecutive four-time recognition in the Ivy League Rookie of the Year award.
